The average mobile phone weighs 75 grams, requiring the mining of 30 kilograms of rock for the ingredients needed for its creation. Each of the 150 concrete casting weighs 200 grams, collectively weighing 30 kilograms, helping consumers to visualize the footprint of the mobile phone.
Exhibition visitors were invited to take one casting as a memento, in turn pledging to stop needlessly updating their mobile phone on a yearly basis, with the goal of ultimately saving the mining of 4,500 kilograms of rock through innovation in communication.
